AI & Work

The 2×2 that changed how I use AI (and how I live)

Most people use AI as a replacement. The real opportunity is the opposite — use it to protect the time and energy you spend on what only you can do.

Most people use AI wrong. They treat it as a replacement. A shortcut. A way to do less. The real opportunity is the opposite — use AI to protect the time and energy you spend on what only you can do.

After months of mapping my own life, I built a framework I call the AI Life Design Matrix.

Start with four buckets

  • Work / Business — vision, clients, team, operations
  • Myself — health, wealth, mental clarity, growth
  • Family — spouse, children, parents
  • Friends & community — relationships, mentorship, giving back

Then run two audits

For every activity ask two questions: does this energise me, and does it align with my values? That gives a 2×2 — Protect & Own, Reconsider, Show Up Fully, and AI Handles This.

Nothing is completely AI. Nothing is completely human. Every activity has your layer — thinking, deciding, relating — and AI's layer: tracking, drafting, scheduling, researching.

Take customer service. You handle escalations and read between the lines; AI auto-routes tickets, tracks SLA and flags anomalies. The question is never “should AI do this?” It is “which part of this should AI handle so I can show up fully for my part?”

Want to apply this to your business?

We work with GCC leaders and founders on exactly these problems — in the room, at operating level.
